KansasPetStories.com began shortly after the passing of K.Cosmic Dasher, my adopted greyhound who was only with me for 2 years before developing osteosarcoma, a very painful and ultimately fatal bone cancer.
After Dasher's death I started thinking about dogs that aren't as lucky as he was to finally find a good home. It took him several years from the time he stopped racing to the time he showed up here but some dogs never find a warm safe place with plenty of food, water and love. My reason for doing this site is to help a dog find its way out of suffering and into a loving home. The USDA can't do it alone and the radical voices aren't getting much done either.
